Arrive in Paro and travel to Thimphu for sightseeing at Buddha Point, Memorial Chorten, and Tashichhodzong. Continue to Phobjikha, stopping at Punakha Dzong en route. Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Journey to Thimphu

  • Arrival: Touch down at Paro International Airport.
  • Transfer: Travel to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city.
  • Distance: Approximately 65 km (40 miles).
  • Travel Time: Around 1 hour.
  • Overnight: Stay in Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing

  • Morning: Visit Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten, and Tashichho Dzong.
  • Afternoon: Explore local markets and handicraft centers.
  • Overnight: Stay in Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu to Phobjikha via Punakha

  • Morning: Depart Thimphu for Phobjikha Valley.
  • En Route: Visit Punakha Dzong, a historic fortress.
  • Distance: Approximately 135 km (84 miles).
  • Travel Time: Around 5.5 to 6 hours.
  • Overnight: Stay in Phobjikha.

Day 4: Phobjikha Valley Exploration

  • Morning: Hike the Gangtey Nature Trail.
  • Afternoon: Visit Gangtey Monastery and the Black-Necked Crane Center.
  • Overnight: Stay in Phobjikha.

Day 5: Phobjikha to Paro via Wangdue Phodrang

  • Morning: Depart Phobjikha for Paro.
  • En Route: Stop at Wangdue Phodrang Dzong
  • Distance: Approximately 130 km (81 miles).
  • Travel Time: Around 4 to 5 hours.
  • Overnight: Stay in Paro.

Day 6: Paro – Taktsang Monastery Hike

  • Morning: Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).
  • Afternoon: Enjoy a closing dinner.
  • Overnight: Stay in Paro.

Day 7: Departure from Paro

  • Transfer: Drive to Paro International Airport.
  • Departure: Fly back home.
